People really need to adopt the nomenclature from the RC car world.
Does it burn fuel? -> Engine.
Does it run on electricity? -> Motor.

All engines are motors, but not all motors are engines, yes?

They’re actually interchangeable, almost. A motor creates a rotating motion, while an engine just creates motion in any form. A jet engine is not a motor, for example.
So, actually, all motors are engines and some engines are not motors.

My point is for the average person, keep the nomeclature simple to understand, which is something that has been done in the RC car world where many of the participants are younger and do not understand the real technical terms yet.
